The UAE is a leading country in the field of humanitarian aid
strives to help poor people around the world, with the aim of reducing poverty and increasing international peace and stability.
The UAE's foreign aid is not linked to any political orientation in implementation of the culture of tolerance and coexistence adopted by the country, it is a strategy that the UAE has followed since its founding at the hands of President His Highness Sheikh Zayed.
Foreign aid is provided in three types.
- Development aid: It is aid provided to countries with the aim of achieving economic progress and thus contributing to improving the country's financial situation by finding resources that contribute to the state budget in the future or infrastructure projects, with a focus on building schools and hospitals to ensure good education and health in those countries, which helps to achieve development.
- Humanitarian aid.: It is aid provided to countries in times of disasters, famines and wars, such as the air bridge with Syria and Turkey when the earthquake occurred, or with many countries during the Corona period.
- Charitable aid: Aid is provided to needy families in poor countries with the aim of helping them overcome life's difficulties, such as the aid provided to refugees.
The UAE officially contributes approximately 2% of its national income as aid, which is one of the highest percentages in the world, if not the highest.
The UAE aid is not limited to foreign aid, but there is aid inside the country that is provided to residents in certain circumstances. There are associations and people who lend a helping hand to those in need, these associations also provide financial assistance without the need for borrowing or debt, such as, Sharjah Charity House Association, Al Maktoum Charity Association, Emirates Red Crescent, Zayed Charity Association, and so on.
There are more than 40 donors in the UAE provided to more than 155 countries around the world, regardless of religion or the country's politics, and it is unconditional aid provided with the aim of contributing to improving the situation of those people who are paying the price of a political conflict or economic crisis that is not their fault.
In addition, there is assistance provided by the sheikhs and rulers of the Emirates, such as the assistance provided by the country’s president His Highness Sheikh Mohammad bin Zayed, the ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Sheikh Muhammid bin Rashid , the ruler of the Emirate of Sharjah Sheikh Sultan Al Qasmi, and the rest of the rulers of the Emirates.
Qalby Etmaan that means in English Warmed my heart, it an Emirate charity program available on youtube, where there is a person named Ghaith, an Arabic name means rescue, something like this, an unknown character because the main goal of the program is to do good and not the person who does the task of helping.
The program presents difficult social cases, in which the young Ghaith provides assistance, the source of the amounts provided by the Emirates Red Crescent and other parties Like emirates banks and personal donations, the program is more than awesome, I highly recommend watching it, and many of its episodes are available with the ability to translate into English.
