Formula 1 is one of the most exciting sports, it is one of the exciting games that also depends on coordination between the driver, who is the focus of the team's victory, and the rest of the team members, who must be at a high level of coordination.


Formula 1 in GCC countries:

The Gulf Cooperation Council countries (GCC) are six Arab countries overlooking the Gulf and located on the Arabian Peninsula in southwest Asia, GCC countries are (UAE, Saudi Arabian, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman and Bahrain), the six countries form a free trade area with open borders that are linked to each other by agreements similar to those between European Union countries.


As part of the strategy to diversify income away from energy, four Gulf countries built motorsports tracks. These countries are Bahrain, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates (USA), and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).


Formula 1 is a relatively new sport in the region, however, this did not prevent a strong entry into the field of F1, and that is through building modern equipped circuits and sponsorship plans for car manufacturers.

There are four circuits in the Arabian Gulf region namely:





Bahrain International Circuit:

It is the first circuit in the Middle East, located in Al Bahrain, designed according to the highest international standards, and used for Formula One Bahrain Grand Prix, drag racing, V8 supercars, GP2 series and Formula 2. Facilities belonging to the circuit, such as tunnels under the circuit for transporting pedestrians and machinery, shopping centres, and buildings that include reception suites and centres for collecting technical information for Formula One cars.







Losail International Circuit:

Located in Qatar, close to the capital, Doha, the circuit built in just under a year by lots of workers, the circuit holds the title of the best arena in the world, it also has the largest permanent venue sports lighting project in the world, the circuit was initially designed for motorcycle racing, minor modifications were made to the circuit to suit Formula one racing.








Yas Marina Circuit:

situated on an island (Yas), in the capital of the UAE, Abu Dhabi. 

The circuit has an FIA Grade 1 license and it offers Car racing for professionals and amateurs throughout the year, such as the possibility of conducting driving, drifting, dragging and karting experiences, racing, walking, running and cycling.







Jeddah Corniche Circuit:

Jedda is a Saudi city overlooking the Red Sea and it is the longest and fastest street circuit in the current Formula One world, the circuit also includes the largest number of turns in the world, with 27 turns as well, the circuit was originally designed as a street race, The circuit features hospitality facilities that provide stunning views of the Red Sea and a 360-degree view of the racetrack.


Motorsports are attracting a growing audience, in the four countries mentioned above, however, the audience is not limited to the residents of the region, but extends to include sports lovers from all countries of the world, those who also enjoy getting to know the wonderful places that surround those circuits, a really enjoyable experience.
