It is a mix of meat, bread and vegetables. It is similar between the UAE and other neighbouring countries in the Arabian Peninsula, while each one is distinguished by adding its own flavour that makes it distinctive, recently some started cooking the dish with chicken instead of meat, on the contrary of Harees, Tharid is easy to prepare as it doesn't need much time to get ready to eat.


3. Balaleet:

It's a sweet food that is eaten for breakfast, it consists of Vermicelli, sugar and saffron with the possibility of adding eggs or nuts to the dish, it's a generally popular dish in all countries of the Arabian Peninsula, a simple dish with its ingredients but previously it was good to start a hard day, or iftar in Ramadan, cooking needs about 15 minutes to get ready, it can also be prepared with cinnamon or raisins.


4. Emirati Regag Bread:

It is a traditional ancient dish, dating back to ancient times.
